It is no secret that I Love to travel. Well I really dislike the act of travelling itself, but i love to go to new places and learn about, see, experience new places in the world! When I can do it on a budget, it is a total dream! I have several groups that I follow that alert me to great travel deals. IT is hard to control myself and not be on the go every other week! Recently I cam across a great airfare that I couldnt pass up. Norway. I love going to places that I have never been. I had never been to Norway, so I jumped at the chance. I really didnt know anything about Norway, so I turned to Pinterest and looked at peoples posts.
The airfare was to Bergen Norway. so I mostly looked up things to do there. when planning our trip, my husband Ken and I went back and forth about where to stay. We could stay just in Bergen or we could stay a different place each night as we traveled around to different cities, villages and fjords. But in the end we decided to stay at one Airbnb in Bergen. we rented a car so that we could have some freedom. (I highly recommend this)
Monday-got oriented with Bergen, drove around and walked around Bryggen (old city-World Unesco Heritage site) ate a gyro/ BIFFIPITA at
went to the grocery store. It is a fun thing to do to wander the grocery store aisles in a foreign country. ate frozen pizza for dinner.
Tuesday-ate cereal for breakfast and pastries, walked around Bryggen, picked up a troll, went to the fish arket, stave church, ate reindeer hot dogs with lingon berry jam and deep fired onions, grocery store, Bergen huss fortress, walked around Bergen more and found roll n rock diner and street with umbrellas. tried brown cheese, ate tomato soup and salad and garlic cheese toast.
Wednesday- visited Edvard Greig museum, Kode art museum, Hanseatic museum
Thursday- Drove to Dale got a tour of the Dale of Norway sweater factory, Voss, Oppheim lake, Gudvangen, Flam, Stegastein lookout, Borgund Stave church (1181)
Friday-Trees with sweaters, Floibanen funicular, hiked down Mt Floyen, Shopping, Gemlebergen museum, ate pastry at bathroom code 1122
Saturday-Steinsdalefossen, water fall, Fossen bratte Waterfall (Hardanger) "Oh look another beautiful willage", stopped at a fruit stand, IKEA (pillow)
Sunday-pictures around Bergen, church, pictures of Missionaries, watched conference, flea market, walked around Bergen,
Monday-gemlehaugen castle,
Tuesday- NYC Palisades Park, took pictures of the changing leaves.
