Christmas is Here...Well, now it has gone

Christmastime is a crazy time of year. It is a month full of hustle and bustle. I actual start prepping for it in like October or earlier. This year I made tons of fudge! Here are some of the flavors: orange cranberry, chocolate peanut butter, strawberry cream, cherry chocolate, penuche, pumpkin, turtle, caramel cheesecake, almond joy, and thats all that I can remember. I also made a few chocolates like oreo, coconut, peanut butter.

We had a huge clan of people in town this year to help us celebrate. Ken had his WHOLE family here minus one brother. 10 siblings, spouses, kids and his mother. In total there were 30 people. We rented a condo about 25 minutes away. Near the Hurricane exit. Some people stayed here with us. Tori & Jennings, Kens mom, sister and niece.  We had a little family meeting where everyone talked about childhood memories and memories of their dad. Everyone ended up in tears except a couple people

We spent quite a bit of time at the condo with everyone. We played games, tennis, did a little hiking, played racquetball, ate, and played more games. Not everyone participated in every game or activity but I think everyone had fun. We assigned people each a meal or two. We did some group games like tying an empty kleenex box to your waist, putting in jingle bells and then wiggling  and booty shaking to see who can get them all to fall our first. It was funny. We all had a good time. But I am glad that I dont have to feed and entertain that many people all the time.

Tyler also turned 18 this month. I cant believe how fast my kids are growing up! Make them stop! I don't want them to leave me. I miss Tori so much! I'm grateful that she doesnt live farther away than Provo. Tyler will go on a mission in a few short months. I am not looking forward to him leaving at all! I cry whenever I think about it. I am grateful that he gets to have this experience. It will be soo good for him. But I am going to miss him like crazy! It will be so quiet and lonely for the holidays next year. Tyler has had some great missionary experiences already. The Priests in our ward have had the opportunity to teach a non member who's wife is a member and a less active man. It has really had a great impact on Tyler. He has been able to have some spiritual experiences and the opportunity to bear his testimony a lot. I think he is looking forward to his mission more because of these experiences.

Now it is the New Year 2105! Sheesh time flies...
